Bees for sale - Nucleus Honey bee Colonies
A
nucleus bee colony is normally available for sale from June to August. I still have some nucleus
colonies, email me for availability. I am now taking orders with payment for
next year so to avoid
disappointment you must order early before spring 2011.
All
bees come on a minimum of 5 combs with a locally bred, laying queen bee
in her first year. They are supplied complete with an appropriate
nucleus hive (a very useful, versatile piece of beekeeping equipment
but you can return it for a refund, £20 for the National, £40 for the
Top Bar).
Providing
a little care is taken, bees can be transported easily in these hives over long distances without coming to harm. Courier networks
will not take live animals so bees are for collection from me in Cornwall.
I am a professional beekeeper and bee breeder so you can be assured of qualified advice and 'after sales technical support'. Buy a beehive too and my
'Introduction to Beekeeping - The Theory' course notes are also
provided free.
