Nucleus hives are invaluable pieces of equipment in the apiary with many uses in swarm control and queen rearing. The hive body has a mesh floor so is suitably ventilated for transporting colonies. It is top bee space and wide enough for 6 Hoffman frames and deep enough for 14 x 12 or Jumbo. I use these hives myself for standard deep frames too. Each hive is fully assembled and ready to use, made from 12mm external plywood and (from the top down) includes: Roof, metal clad, 4" Crownboard/Clearerboard with feed hole Hive body and Varroa mesh Floor.
